My journey to becoming an artist was unconventional.

As a child, I loved art classes in high school, and believed I wouldn't be able to financially sustain myself as an artist. I went on to a fashion design college and receive my AA degree instead, leaving art behind. After college, I succeeded as a fashion designer in Los Angeles for well over 30 years. Once I retired I had a longing to create. I started painting with acrylics on my patio studio, my happy place.

My artistic sensibilities always favored faces, I have grown so accustomed to the quick drying times of acrylic, it's my go to style at this point. I usually work from photos.

When it comes to subject matter, I tend to favor painting portraits although I do paint abstracts.

I normally do a small series of about five to ten paintings with the same theme.

I've been drawing and painting since I was kid. Painting is my meditation and now enjoying my god given talent painting! I thought that other people might like my paintings. My collection is growing now so many are now for sale.
